Town Board Meeting
August 19,2015

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Froeba. All board members were present. The July minutes were accepted after a motion by G. Santilli and seconded by E. Roehl.

E. Roehl feels any road holes should be dug out with a trench to the shoulder of the road. He would like this done the next time a severe patch is needed to see if this works better. He also clarified that holes should be filled with ¾ minimum size crushed granite.
V. Putrus reports his ditch is still filled with water and still waiting for repair. He also feels the roads need to be narrowed as 2 passes of the grader at the current width causes a hump on the edge. This causes water to run down the road.

The resolution for the fire department mutual aid agreement was discussed. E. Roehl stated that the resolution needs clarification so action will be deferred.

The repair of Rock Creek Bridge was discussed. J. Froeba states that the DNR permitting can take 18 months. Ayers Engineering is designing the replacement bridge. E. Roehl stated that the state would contribute 80% of the cost. Each of the four townships would be responsible for approximately
$25,000.

The slow children safety sign request for 26 Road and Cardinal was discussed. The residents home is on one side of the road and the barn is across the road. There is a hill at that intersection. V. Putrus added that traffic on 26 Road will decrease when Highway H is reopened. G. Santilli stated that the last request by a resident for the same concerns was denied by the board. The cost would be $30-$35 per sign and post. G. Santilli made a motion to place signs at both residences that have requested them. J. Froeba seconded, motion carried.

There was discussion on placing ads for the patrolman position in the News Herald. There will be an ad in the Central Shopper next week. There will be a September 4th deadline for accepting applications. There will be a CDL drug screen prior to hiring.

The treasurer report was distributed. The invoices were reviewed and approved for payment after a motion by G. Santilli and seconded by E. Roehl.

The next monthly meeting will be September 16 at 8:00 pm. The Special Town Meeting will begin at 7:00pm. Meeting was adjourned after a motion by E. Roehl and seconded by G. Santilli.
K. Santilli, clerk
